About HyChill HC32
HyChill HC32 is a naturally based hydrocarbon refrigerant designed to replace R32 in suitable air conditioning and refrigeration systems. It is formulated using high-purity R1270 (propylene) and R170 (ethane) to provide reliable cooling performance while helping reduce energy use and system load.
Using HC32 can improve overall efficiency. Many systems require a smaller charge volume compared to R32, and the refrigerant can help the unit reach desired temperatures more quickly, which may lead to noticeable power savings.
Key Features and Advantages
- Suitable replacement for R32 in compatible systems
- Can assist in reducing electricity consumption by approximately 20–30 percent
- Requires only around 40 percent of the R32 charge weight
- Lower operating pressures help reduce strain on system components
- Cost-effective compared to traditional refrigerants
- Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 2
- Zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP)
- Works with commonly used refrigeration materials and lubricants
- No ARC licence is required for purchase or use
Safety Information
HC32 is classified as a Class 2.1 flammable refrigerant, similar to R32, and must be handled with care. Always follow relevant regulations, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
Like many refrigerants, it can be flammable when mixed with air and oil vapour, so it must be kept away from ignition sources. HC32 has a naturally strong odour that can assist in identifying leaks.
Additional Details
- Produced using high-quality hydrocarbon components
- Packaged securely with clear identification labels
- Digital scales are recommended for accurate charging and reducing refrigerant waste
Available Sizes
HC32 is also available in 4.5 kg and 9 kg cylinders, as well as 400 g cans. Contact us for enquiries regarding larger cylinders.
Performance Note
While HC32 performs well in most systems, there may be a small number of setups where performance varies depending on system condition and design.
